Price models allow you to create a basic pricing strategy. With the price models, you can create multiple pricing arrangements and use them across all of your offerings. You can arrange the prices for basic products, tiers or different volumes.
To start creating a price model, go to Management Dashboard -> Pricing -> Price Model and choose the Add new price model button.
Enter the name for your new price model. You can also add a description to help you out in managing the models later on.
Only the Name is mandatory for a price model creation. You can decide to edit other details later. You can also set up a custom price model ID in the Id field. Otherwise, a unique ID is automatically generated when the model is created.
Set up the rules that you want your price model to be based on:
Model - choose the model type that you want to use for your pricing
BASIC - for price per unit that stays the same regardless of other factors
VOLUME - when you want the price to be changed based on the number of products that is ordered
TIERED - for a complex pricing strategy where multiple products are sold within particular price ranges, depending on the quantity of products specified for a price range
Unit of measurement - choose the unit to be used for measuring the product amount and on which you want to base the pricing
Quantity of unit measurement - set up the unit amount
Price - choose between NET and GROSS values
Tick default if you want to have the new price model as the standard one
