AI for a Product Description

Let AI help you with managing products.

Emporix' AI service allows you to improve the process of product management. Based on a prompt that you provide, it generates a suggestion for a product description in the languages that you choose.

Prerequisites

Using the AI service requires an API token, you can either configure your own OpenAI account for this, or use a token provided by Emporix at the beginning:

• OpenAI Platform - use the API token from your account

• If you don't provide your own OpenAI token, the Emporix one is used with the following limits:

  • 3 mln input tokens

  • 1 mln output tokens When you reach the Emporix limit, the next requests are rejected and you have to provide your own OpenAI token.

Connecting AI with Emporix

When you have the API token (API Key) from your OpenAI account, go to Management Dashboard -> Settings -> System Preferences and add it as an AI key.

Working with AI on product descriptions

1. Go to Management Dashboard -> Products and create a new product or edit an existing one if you want to change its description.

1. Open the AI assistant with the Assistant button in the top right corner.

2. Select the languages that you want have for the product description and choose Save. Your description is translated to all the selected languages.

Result: After selecting the languages, you can see them in the list with three corresponding fields:

• Prompt: your text with any keywords that you want to add, you can modify the text according to your requirements

• Original Description: the description that you had written manually for the product.

• AI Suggestions: a field for the description that is proposed by AI, at this point it's empty because no AI description was generated yet.

1. Choose the Generate Description button.

Result: The AI suggestion field now contains a new product description that was generated by artificial intelligence in the languages that you had selected.

1. Choose your preferred product description and use the radio button to select between the original description and AI suggestion. Save your selection with the Done button. Then, confirm your changes to the product description by choosing Save in the product view.

Result: Your changes are saved and the product is now displayed with a new description provided by artificial intelligence.

Composing product descriptions for different purposes

Using the AI assistant makes it easy and fast to adjust your product descriptions to the marketing needs. Depending on the type of your audience, you can construct the description of the same product for all types of advertising.

Here are some examples you can use as prompts that give customized product descriptions:

• For a technical list of product features, you can use a prompt like:

  Bullet list all the specifications of 'LS-Tray 92 - Tool tray blue'

  With this, or a similar prompt, the AI assistant generates a bullet list of the product specifics. The generated bullet points depend on the fields that you have filled in for a specific product:

  • Tool tray with dimensions of 20.5 inches x 12.25 inches x 1.6 inches

  • Color: blue

  • Material: durable plastic

  • 92 compartments for organizing tools

  • Sturdy construction for heavy-duty use

  • Tray only, tools not included

  
• For a description of how to use a product, place a prompt like:

  Provide a description of 'LS-Tray 92 - Tool tray' in language: en that would show the users how they can use the product

  This can give you a description of how to use the product and the value that it brings:

  "The LS-Tray 92 is a versatile tool tray designed to make organization and accessibility easy for users. With multiple compartments and slots, it provides ample space to store various tools and equipment in an orderly fashion. Users can easily place their tools within the tray, keeping them within reach and organized while working on projects. Additionally, the tray can be easily transported and moved around as needed, making it convenient for users to have their tools nearb at all times. Whether you are working in a garage, workshop, or job site, the LS-Tray 92 is the perfect solution for keeping your tools organized and easily accessible."

  
• If you want to focus on people for whom the product was designed for use a prompt like:

  Give an information for whom the 'LS-Tray 92 - Tool tray' was designed for

  With this prompt, the response is focused on people who use the product:

  "The LS-Tray 92 - Tool tray was designed for professionals and hobbyists who need a convenient and organized way to store and transport their tools. This tool tray is ideal for mechanics, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople who need easy access to their tools while working on various projects. It is also popular among DIY enthusiasts and homeowners who want to keep their tools organized in their garage or workshop. With its durable construction and multiple compartments, the LS-Tray 92 is a versatile and practical tool storage solution for a wide range of users."
